LONNIE BURNS,
MS,LPC.

Reverend Lonnie J Burns is an Ordained Minister with the International Holiness Church in the State of Oklahoma. Rev. Burns has two master's degrees—one from Southwestern Christian University and the second from SWOSU in Weatherford, OK. He is a licensed counselor in Oklahoma. Lonnie and Stella are both widowers, and they both have children from their previous marriages. Lonnie's daughter is Jessica Burns, and Stella's son is George Perry. Stella is a minister as well, and has worked for Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman, OK, for over 20 years. She is active in women's ministries. Stella also coordinates a volunteer program that donates leftover Panera Bread to the local homeless population.

Lonnie's Experience

Has worked in the mental health field for over 20 years—fully licensed behavior counselor, specializing with military service members and their families. Certified to supervise candidates for OK LPC licensing.

An ordained minister with the International Holiness Church for over 35 years; Currently serving as an associate pastor at Grace Chapel in Lexington, Oklahoma.

Active in local food banks and homelessness prevention outreaches. 

Appointed as the Cleveland County GOP Precinct 401 Chair.

Current member of the American Counseling Assoc

Received a bachelor's in biblical studies from Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, Oklahoma, and later received a master's in church revitalization from SCU. Received an additional master's in community counseling from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. 

 

Served on the Oklahoma Child Death Review Board from 2011-2012 while serving the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes. 

Served on the City of Coffeyville, KS Planning Commission in 2000. 

Served as Hammon, OK Town Treasurer from 1997-1998.

Served as Secretary and Treasurer for the Western Oklahoma Conference of Churches from 1995-1997.

Served as Mayor of Blanchard, OK from 1988-1990.
